Ingredients for making carrot cake with brigadeirão:

CARAMEL:

1 cup of sugar (160 grams)

CARROT CAKE:

2 small carrots (about 1 and 1/2 teacup of chopped carrots)

 3 eggs

¾ cup of oil (180 milliliters)

1½ cups of sugar (240 grams)

2 cups of sifted wheat flour

 1 tablespoon of baking powder

CHOCOLATE CAKE:

 1 box of sour cream

 1 can of condensed milk

 1 tablespoon of melted butter

 2 eggs

 1 egg yolk

 1 cup of chocolate powder

How to make carrot cake with brigadeirão:

First, prepare the caramel sauce by melting the sugar in the form that will make the cake. If you prefer, melt the sugar in another pan and then add the caramel to the pan.

Tip: We use a mold with a central hole with a diameter of 25 x 8 cm.

Separate the cake ingredients to ensure they are all at room temperature, ensuring a perfect, well-baked cake.

In a blender, beat the oil, eggs, sugar and chopped carrots until smooth.

Pour this mixture into a bowl with the sifted wheat flour and mix with the aid of a fouet until smooth and homogeneous.

Add the baking powder and mix gently into the dough. Pour this cake batter over the caramel in the pan and wait for the brigadeirão to be prepared.

Tip: At this point preheat the oven to 180 - 200 degrees.

Blend all the ingredients of the brigadeirão in a blender, until smooth.

Pour the mixture over the cake batter gently, covering the entire surface. Take it to bake in a bain-marie in the oven, carefully placing the pan in a pan filled with water already heated - it is not necessary to cover it with aluminum foil.

Tip: Don't worry if the recipes seem to get mixed up. If you follow the instructions correctly, you will see that the cake and the brigadeirão will separate in the form when it is baking.

Bake for about 1 hour or until set when taking the toothpick test. Allow to cool and refrigerate for approximately 3 hours.

When it's chilled, unmold your inverted carrot cake with brigadeirão, placing it in a nice round platter! Now you can enjoy this delicious dessert that, without a doubt, will conquer everyone's taste. Enjoy your food!
